Hiker rescued after sustaining leg injury at Tanque Verde Falls

TUCSON – A hiker was rescued after the individual reportedly was injured while hiking at Tanque Verde Falls Monday morning.
According to Rural Metro Fire Department, the hiker reportedly fell while on the trail, resulting in a leg injury. The individual was escorted out of the trail and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say Pima County Sheriff’s Department and Southern Arizona Rescue Association assisted in the rescue.
Rural Metro firefighter
