Hawk recovering after tree it was perched on was struck by lightning

TUCSON – A hawk is on the road to recovery after a palm tree it was perched on was struck by lightning Monday evening.
According to officials, a palm tree located at an apartment complex near Prince Road and Campbell Avenue caught on fire after it was struck by lightning at around 9 p.m. Monday. While fire crews were extinguishing the blaze, a winged predator fell out of the tree.
