Guilty plea in 2016 Tucson rape case

TUCSON – A Tucson man will be sentenced next month, after he pleaded guilty to an August, 2016 sexual assault.
Prosecutors said Eric Charles Thomas broke into a woman’s home while the victim was sleeping.
According to investigators, Thomas sexually assaulted the victim, and locked her inside a closet while he went through her belongings.
The woman suffered a broken nose, concussion, and other injuries in the attack.
Detectives said Thomas eventually released the victim, and told her
