Former TUSD board member Bruce Burke appointed to fill open seat

TUCSON – Tucson Unified School District announced Friday afternoon that former TUSD board member Bruce A. Burke has been appointed to fill the recently vacated governing board seat of Mark Stegeman.
Back on Oct. 3, Stegeman announced his resignation from the TUSD governing board after serving the district for 11 years. The resignation was effective immediately.Following the news of the longtime board member’s resignation, the district announced that Pima County School Superintendent
