Former financial advisor headed to prison for stealing nearly $170K

PHOENIX – A former financial advisor from Gilbert has been sentenced to six years in prison, after investigators said he stole money from the dormant bank accounts of his victims.
Steven Watson, 36, must also serve seven years probation, once he is released from the Arizona Department of Corrections.
Investigators from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office said Watson worked at a Gilbert bank, and stole nearly $170,000 from three accounts between October and November 2014.
