Food label warning for sesame

Food labels may soon carry a warning, if that product contains sesame.The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it is considering adding a sesame allergen on packaged foods. There are currently 8 allergens listed on the labels: milk, fish, eggs, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans and wheat.
The FDA say, while sesame may be in some products, it may only be listed as “natural flavors”, or “spices” on the label.
