FICO cancels 2019 Sahuarita Pecan Festival, blames tariffs

TUCSON – Farmers Investment Co. announced Friday that it was canceling the 2019 Sahuarita Pecan Festival.
According to a news release, they are canceling the festival “due to global economic conditions, particularly those affecting the pecan market resulting from the imposition of trade tariffs.”
Reportedly, FICO emailed letters to vendors and sponsors making them aware of the cancellation. The refunds for sponsorships and vendor fees will be sent within 30 days, according to t
