FDA authorizes over-the-counter tests

AbbottFDA authorizes over-the-counter COVID-19 tests for emergency use.
The Food and Drug Administration is greenlighting several at-home COVID-19 tests.Over-the-counter products from Abbott and Quidel got emergency use authorization Wednesday.They're for asymptomatic people involved with serial screening and those testing for antigens.Abbott says it will start shipping tests to retailers in the next few weeks.
