Driver involved in fatal pedestrian crash charged with second-degree murder

TUCSON - The individual killed in Sunday's pedestrian-involved collision was identified by Tucson Police Department Monday afternoon.According to TPD, 59-year-old Beatrice Alvarez was reportedly walking in a marked crosswalk at the intersection of East Ajo Way and South Forgeus Avenue when she was struck by a 2016 Kia Forte.
