Competency evaluation for man charged in Detroit slayings
DETROIT (AP) — A 34-year-old man will be evaluated to determine if he’s competent to stand trial in the slayings of four women in Detroit whose deaths authorities have characterized as the work of a serial killer.
Prosecutors say the evaluation referral for Deangelo Martin was made Wednesday during a probable cause conference in 36th District Court. Martin is due back in court on Dec. 6.
