Community steps up after Manzo Elementary garden vandalized

TUCSON – Students at Manzo Elementary on Tucson’s west side are back in their natural habitat just in time for the start of school.
Last month, vandals destroyed parts of Manzo’s garden and greenhouse.
Fast forward a few weeks and the garden is on the mend.
“Something unfortunate happened but something much, much greater came out of it,” Moses Thompson, the TUSD school garden program coordinator said. “I was heartbroken.”
