Cobbs’ career day leads Marist past Davidson 27-21

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Hunter Cobb rushed for a career-high 178 yards and two touchdowns and Marist defeated Davidson 27-21 on Saturday.
Cobb, a redshirt freshman who entered the game with 22 carries for 47 yards this season, carried 17 times and scored on third-quarter runs of 89 and 15 yards as the Red Foxes (2-5, 2-2 Pioneer League) built a 24-7 lead.
