Coati captured, put down after injuring 2 hikers in Sabino Canyon

TUCSON (KVOA) - The coatimundi who reportedly showed aggressive behavior to hikers in Sabino Canyon Recreational Area last Thursday has been captured and put down.On Thursday, Arizona Game and Fish Department shared with the public that its crews were on the lookout for a coati after three hikers encountered the animal near Sabino Dam and the Cactus Picnic Area earlier that day.
