Church, civic officials to discuss temporary housing for asylum seekers

TUCSON – Catholic Community Services leaders and officials plan to discuss temporary housing for asylum seekers in Pima County Wednesday afternoon.
The press conference is scheduled at 1:45 p.m., at the Diocese of Tucson Conference and Educational Center, 192 S. Stone Ave. #2.
According to the church, Catholic Bishop Edward Wisenburger and Peg Harmon asked county and city officials to meet and discuss the proposed use of a Pima County Juvenile facility to temporarily house asylum seekers.
