Candidate criticizes US Rep’s silence on assault allegations

PHOENIX (AP) — The Democratic candidate for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District has called out incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko for her lack of support for women accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.
The Arizona Republic reports Democrat challenger Hiral Tipirneni called Lesko out in a tweet on Monday for not voicing support for the women.
She says supporting the women’s right to be heard is not a partisan issue.
