Birth control could soon be a little easier for women.
Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have developed a patch that women can press into their arm, or leg. The patch distributes a month’s worth of birth control.
Unlike other long-acting contraceptives like implants and IUD’s the patch would not require a doctor’s visit.It uses microneedles that implant into a woman’s skin and slowly dissolve over time. The microneedles deliver the hormone found in many
