Authorities seize $2.5M worth of pot hidden in charcoal shipment

TUCSON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have seized $2.5M worth of marijuana hidden in a load of charcoal at the Mariposa crossing in Nogales.
Authorities say the drugs were concealed inside a tractor trailer that came through the commercial crossing on Wednesday afternoon.
According to investigators, a CBP canine alerted officers to the 190 bundles of marijuana that had been concealed in the shipment from Mexico.
