Authorities discover unfinished tunnel under U.S./Mexico border

TUCSON – Authorities say they have discovered an incomplete tunnel running under the U.S./Mexico border in Nogales.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents along with Mexican law enforcement found the 50 foot long tunnel Monday afternoon, while they were conducting a routine bi-national tunnel sweep.
Investigators say the tunnel entry was submerged along the international waterway channel constructed below both cities of Nogales.
