Arizona unemployment drops

Arizona's economy posted strong gains in August, adding nearly 80,000 jobs.The state's unemployment rate dropped to 5.9% down from 10.7% in July. It's lower than the national rate of 8.4%.Gains were posted across ten private sectors. Industries which added the most jobs include education, health services, trade and transportation.The federal government's unemployment payment of $300 ran out last week. Arizona's weekly unemployment payments of $240 are among the lowest in the nation.
