Arizona extends comment period for study of Interstate 11

PHOENIX (AP) — The Arizona Department of Transportation is extending the public comment period for a draft environmental impact statement for a proposed corridor routing Interstate 11 through central and southern Arizona.
The department’s announcement Friday of the extension of the comment period to July 8 from May 31 said it is intended to provide sufficient time for community review of newly released additional information that is part of the draft environmental statement.
