49ers select wide receiver Deebo Samuel with 2nd-round pick

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers drafted South Carolina wide receiver Deebo Samuel with the 36th overall pick in the NFL draft Friday.
The 49ers got to coach Samuel at the Senior Bowl in January and liked him enough to take him with the fourth pick in the second round as they seek more depth at receiver after the departure of Pierre Garcon this offseason.
Samuel had 62 catches for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns last season for South Carolina and is also skilled as a returner
