2 construction workers buried after Phoenix trench collapse

PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix firefighters say crews are trying to recover the bodies of two construction workers after a trench collapse. Capt. Rob McDade says the incident happened mid-day Thursday at a housing construction site in the area of Missouri and 107th avenues. Officials confirmed two workers were buried as a result of the collapse. McDade says technical rescue teams are working on a “long process” of body recovery. No other details were released.
