Votes by Senate show preference for eliminating income tax cut trigger rather than changing it

SB 130, which was voted down Tuesday, would require state revenue to hit $7.5 billion plus the cost of the tax cut before the top income tax rate could go down to 4.85 percent. The Senate had passed a bill Monday to eliminate the trigger altogether.
