Syrian rebels seek relevance by joining Turkey's offensive

BEIRUT (AP) — Beaten by the government and outgunned by al-Qaida, thousands of rebels have joined Turkey to battle a U.S.-aligned Kurdish militia that controls large stretches of the Syrian-Turkish frontier.
