Minnesota Lt. Gov. Smith to join Senate, dive into campaign

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Lt. Gov. Tina Smith is vowing to "hit the ground running" as she joins the U.S. Senate this week while preparing to run in November.
