Wood Co. Sheriff's sergeant dies after accidental discharge of own weapon

Sgt. Alvin Adams of the Wood County Sheriff's Office died this morning after an apparent accidental discharge of his personal weapon, according to Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn, who talked to the Sentinel-Tribune. Adams worked as a jail sergeant at the Wood County Justice Center and has been part of the force for at least 12 years, Wasylyshyn said Saturday afternoon.
