Welltower operations boosts funds

Toledo-based Welltower Inc., a real estate investment trust that owns and manages senior-living housing and health-care properties, on Tuesday reported first-quarter funds from operations of $400.9 million, or $1.13 a share, up 15 percent from $349.7 million, or $1.04 a share, for the same period a year ago.
