Welltower Inc. CEO rings opening bell at NYSE

Thomas DeRosa, chief executive of Toledo-based Welltower Inc., center, was with company executives and others on Wednesday ringing the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange. The event took note of the real estate investment firm’s change in its NYSE ticker symbol from HCN to WELL. The new symbol is designed to better reflect the company’s mission of health and wellness. Investors didn’t object, as the stock finished up 28 cents at $52.50 a share.
