Waukesha request for Great Lakes water approved

CHICAGO — The eight Great Lakes states voted today in favor of a Wisconsin city’s request to have Lake Michigan water diverted to it, a case with major ramifications for water-stressed communities that are near the Great Lakes shoreline but not actually inside the basin.
