Van Wert auditor, deputy auditors face felony charges for break-in

VAN WERT, Ohio — Even before Van Wert County auditor Philip Baxter and two of his deputies were accused of breaking into the office of county Treasurer Nathan Vandenbroek, the two elected officials did not have an ideal working relationship, officials said.
