US bakery refuses to make birthday cake for same-sex couple

Newly married Candice Lowe had visited Take The Cake Bakery in Toledo, Ohio to order a birthday cake for her wife Amanda as a surprise, just two weeks after their wedding. But the owner sent a text message to Candice days later while on her honeymoon to notify her the cake had been cancelled and they had rejected the order due to her same-sex relationship.
