Under construction: Apartments in Dundee, Michigan

Bell Estates apartments in Dundee, Mich., is adding four buildings with a total of 132 one and two-bedroom units. At left, Tim Sisty, left, and Parker Helms install conduit for security cameras and fire alarms.  At right, Thomas Conklin cuts siding. The units range from 700 square feet to 960 square feet and should be ready for occupancy by the end of the year. When finished, the complex will have 276 units. Monthly rents range from about $800 to nearly $1,000.
