Toy drive makes holiday happier for children

More than 10,000 toys were collected Friday during the annual Hope for the Holidays Drive Thru Bash, held at WTVG's studio on Dorr Street. Through 6:30 p.m., the event had generated 10,485 presents donated to the Salvation Army. This year’s drop-off locations also included the Andersons in Maumee, the Salvation Army in Findlay, and the Salvation Army in Bowling Green. Toys collected are distributed by the Salvation Army, th U.S. Marine Corps and Toys for Tots.
