Toledo's LPGA tournament has long history
The tournament that is now called the Marathon Classic presented by Owens Corning and O-I started in 1984 as the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic at the former Glengarry Country Club (now Stone Oak Country Club) in Holland. After four tournaments there, it was moved to Highland Meadows Golf Club in Sylvania. That same year, it was shortened from 72 holes to 54 holes. The 72-hole format returned in 1997 and has endured since.
