Toledo payment averts jail crisis

Facing a deadline, Toledo Mayor Paula-Hicks Hudson said the city will pay all but $300,000 of the nearly $1.4 million quarterly bill to house inmates at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio near Stryker.
