Toledo man gets 5 years for assaulting girlfriend

Disregarding a recommended three-year prison sentence, Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Ruth Ann Franks has sentenced a Toledo man charged with assaulting his girlfriend and breaking into an apartment where she was hiding to five years in prison.
