To the editor: Puerto Rico deserves help
A Harvard study concluded that at least 4,645 people died as a result of Hurricane Maria and its devastation across Puerto Rico last year (June 3, “A story largely untold”). It is a believable number. It is also very believable that, while we blow trillions of dollars through our war machinery to “help” ravaged people around the globe, our politicians see no point in helping the helpless, the victims of man-made and natural disasters in our own country.
