To the editor: Please focus on the students

I thought that the problems plaguing the Washington Local Schools Board of Education were a result of the fact that Patrick Hickey had been elected to the board and, because he was prohibited from school property, the meetings had to be moved elsewhere. But now that he is gone and the board has the right and responsibility to replace him, I figured they could finally make education and students in the district the primary concern.
