To the editor: Hospitals must offer treatment

Bishop Daniel E. Thomas’ paean to logic in his March 3 essay, “Logic and life,” is both passionate and convincing, except for one simple fact: Hospitals, even religiously affiliated ones, are already committed to provide life-sustaining care to all who enter their facilities.
