State announces new procedures for water alerts

COLUMBUS — Though not embroiled in nearly as much controversy as Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder is with the Flint water crisis, Ohio governor and GOP presidential candidate John Kasich today announced a multi-pronged effort to fine-tune procedures for keeping more of his state’s drinking water from being poisoned by lead.
