Spotlight athlete: Mitchell Downs, Otsego

Downs, a 5-foot-10, 179-pound junior quarterback, led the Knights to a 35-32 upset victory over Genoa last Friday in Northern Buckeye Conference football. He completed 17-of-31 passes for 232 yards and a touchdown, and rushed 12 times for 145 yards and four TDs for Otsego (4-1 overall, 2-0 NBC). His eight-yard TD run in the closing seconds was the game-winning score.
