Science writers workshop begins at Ohio State University's Stone Laboratory

GIBRALTAR ISLAND, Ohio — An annual two-day workshop for science writers began Thursday with updates expected to be released on Lake Erie's harmful algal bloom and a number of other issues, including the controversy over open-lake disposal of dredged sediments in the Toledo area, climate change, energy production, land use, tourism, agricultural runoff, invasive species, the health of Ohio's fishery, and the plight of the once-endangered Lake Erie water snake.
