Rigorous route ahead for Michigan conservation officer candidates

LANSING — There will be days over the next six months when they might not be sure if they are in Marine boot camp, NFL training camp, or some bizarre offshoot of the endless “Survivor” series. But for the 25 recruits trying to earn their stripes as Michigan conservation officers, the picture will get clearer as the weeks pass.
