Remarkable, confrontational 'Detroit' isn't just a history lesson
A young group of seven black men and two white women are held hostage and interrogated in a Detroit motel by a trio of armed and violent racist white cops. The men and women, guilty of only skin color and fraternization, were rounded up as suspects in what was a faked sniper attack from a window. The gun fired by one of the men, Carl Cooper, had only blanks.
