Regional jail to lay off some workers

STRYKER, Ohio — Lucas County has announced it will take responsibility for 100 additional beds at the Correctional Center of Northwest Ohio after the city of Toledo has missed its deadline to pay a quarterly bill for its share of supporting the regional jail.
