Recent hire Lonny Rivera in line to be Ohio's acting superintendent

Lonny Rivera, the former superintendent of the Oregon schools near Toledo, is the first in line to replace State Superintendent Richard Ross when he retires at the end of the year - at least on an interim basis. Rivera, 41, joined the Ohio Department of Education in April as associate superintendent and has been involved in the department's work with the Youngstown school district.
