Razing the roof

Ashes fly as a firefighter from Engine Co. 6 works on a hot spot at a house fire on Parker Avenue. The blaze was reported about 2 p.m. Monday at 472 Parker. Fire officials said the house was listed as a total loss, and what was left of it after they extinguished the blaze was demolished. No one was reported injured, a spokesman for the department said.
