Razing hotel to cost Lucas Co. extra

The Lucas County commissioners today will be asked to pay an additional $217,356 for the contract to remove asbestos and demolish the former Hotel Seagate in downtown Toledo. A change order in the agreement with Baumann Enterprises Inc. of Garfield Heights, Ohio, will bring the cost to remove the 45-year-old building from the Toledo skyline to $2.6 million.
