Proposed increased in electric bills faces opposition

OAK HARBOR, Ohio — Legislation that would allow an unspecified increase in monthly electric bills for some Akron-based FirstEnergy Corp. customers is drawing strong opposition from key industry groups, as well as free-market and and anti-nuclear advocates.
