Program lets kids make a gift of nature

Mary Krueger of Toledo holds a packet her grandson, Mason Krueger, 3, of Perrysburg, filled with bean seeds that he plans to give to his mother as a gift. The two took part Tuesday in the December Garden Sprouts program at Toledo Botanical Garden in South Toledo, where this month’s theme was ‘Sharing and Giving.’ Garden Sprouts is a monthly program at the Garden for children ages 2-5 that offers an opportunity to sing a song, hear a story, and make a craft.
